Is Home Financial Services Online Banking (HFS) secure?
Home Financial Services provides secure communications using 128-bit encryption security. HFS requires the use of a browser which supports at least 128-bit encryption. The browser that you are running determines which level of security will be used for your connection. If you are currently using a 40-bit encryption browser you will need to upgrade to a more secure 128-bit encryption browser.  You can download the browser from either Netscape or Microsoft.

How much history is stored in HFS Online Banking?
Ninety days.

How many e-statements will I be able to view?
You will be able to view up to a year's worth of e-statements.  If you have been receiving e-statements for less than a year, you will only be able to view those statements.  If you do not have a checking account, you will get your e-statements quarterly.   

My HFS password won't work?
Your HFS password is 7-15 characters, with at least one alpha and one numeric character.  It is case sensitive.  To protect your account, access will be blocked after 3 failed password attempts. Contact Member Services at (269) 381-1938, option 2 for assistance.

Citizens Credit Union offers 24 Hour Account Phone Access System through Citizens Information Teller (CIT). With CIT, you can make account inquiries, transfer funds, loan payments and much more.

Accessing CIT

  • Dial CIT at (269) 381-1651 (in the Kalamazoo area) or (888) 381-1651 (outside Kalamazoo area)
  • Enter your account number followed by the # key
  • Enter your PIN number followed by the # key
  • Enter the function code (listed below) followed by the # key

Helpful Hints

  • The # Key
    Remember to conclude each entry with the # key to prompt CIT to proceed
  • The * Key
    Use the * key to pause speech during all inquires and prompts.  This feature allows you to write information down
  • The ** Keys
    Push ** if you make a mistake and would like to erase the last transaction.

  • Savings Account Balance Inquiry:
    Enter function number 72 and the # key, then enter suffix 21 and the # key.
  • Checking Account Balance Inquiry:
    Enter function number 72 and the # key, then enter suffix 92 and the # key.
  • Transfer $275.00 from Savings To Checking
    1. Enter function 78 then # key
    2. Enter number 21 then # key
    3. Enter number 92 then # key
    4. Enter amount,  27500 then # key
    5. Wait for CIT to confirm your transfer
