MEMBERSHIP

Citizens Credit Union is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, or goes to school in Kalamazoo, Van Buren, or Allegan counties.  Any family members of existing members are also eligible to join.

To join Citizens, simply come to any Citizens location and see one of our friendly Member Service Representatives. To establish membership, you will need to open a basic savings account with a minimum deposit of $10.  This represents your "share" in the credit union, which makes you a member and an owner. You must keep $10 in your basic savings at all times to maintain membership. As a member you can take advantage of all our products and services, such as:

HISTORY OF CITIZENS CREDIT UNION

Established in 1955, Citizens Credit Union has grown to a full-service financial institution whose mission is to provide members with sound products and services that enhance their lives and build their future success.

Originally chartered to serve the employees of the City of Kalamazoo, Citizens now has a community charter and can serve anyone who lives, works, worships or goes to school in Kalamazoo, Van Buren, or Allegan counties and the families of any existing members.
